Do you recognise the streets and squares in the Antwerp of yesteryear? 
To create Time Machine - Antwerpen, Tanguy Ottomer dove into the city archives and selected 50 pictures of the city on the Scheldt. Armed with those old shots and his camera, photographer Jeroen Verrecht trailed the city to re-capture the 50 streets and squares in the present day, resulting in 50 fascinating before and afters. Sometimes the cityscapes on the old pictures have remained largely unchanged, sometimes they're nearly unrecognisable. In that case, you'll need to search for buildings or landmarks to give you a clue. 

To give the reader the opportunity to guess where the archive image was taken, Tanguy doesn't share information alongside the old photos, but once you turn the page, you'll spot the 'answer': on Jeroen Verrecht's photo you can see the exact same street scene as it is today, and a short explanation is provided. 

This thoughtfully crafted ode to Antwerp is a nostalgic item to be treasured, but also a real conversation starter between different generations. All in all, the perfect holiday gift for anyone who loves Antwerp and enjoys taking a trip down memory lane.
